Intriguing quarterback prospect given quick release, sound decision making process and ability to push the ball down the field. Capped off prep career by wining a state title as a senior in Georgia’s AAAA classification. Stands tall in the pocket and does a nice job of feeling out pressure. Has some experience with five and seven-step drops, but seems to be at his best when he’s making one or two reads and then firing to a spot or target. Isn’t afraid to challenge tight windows. More of a drive ball thrower, but does show some touch on his deeper passes. Shouldn’t be considered a real dual-threat talent, but can extend plays once the pocket breaks down and pick up yardage with his legs in certain situations. Completed just over 67 percent of his passes his final two years of high school tossing 61 touchdowns to go against just six interceptions. Likely to excel in more of a balanced spread attack that wants its quarterback to distribute the football, and quickly. Will likely need some time to adjust to the speed of the game on Saturdays, but has the skillset to eventually emerge as someone that can win at the Power 5 level. Could eventually suit up on Sundays if he keeps progressing.
