Trent Burns

Burns jumps off the page immediately with his incredible size and comfort from behind the arc. He is infatuated with the long range jumper and can knock down trail and kickout threes that can open up a game. With his ability to stretch the floor, Burns tends to float on the perimeter. He is lanky at this stage, completely undeveloped physically, and is not capable of playing through much contact as a rebounder of finisher. However, he is a proven worker who has made strides in being more of a threat operating inside the lane. Defensively, he lacks true foot speed due to his size and is more likely to alter a shot attempt than return one to sender. An extremely raw prospect who is still learning his body, Burns' game is solely about tomorrow than it is today. His best basketball is ahead of him and it will take some time before he makes a consistent impact at the collegiate level. With that being said, he does brings great upside to the table due to his size, shooting, and rim protecting potential.
