Sadiq White Jr.

White is one of the most explosive athletes in the national class. He is super bouncy, able to play up at the top of the box, and quick with his second (and third) bounces. He is not only an elite lob threat, but the type of finisher who can immediately change the momentum of the game with a highlight dunk.

Beyond his leaping ability, White is also a versatile athlete. He moves with pace and force, covering the court and playing through contact with increasing frequency. Physically, he has the length to match his athleticism with a nearly 7-foot wingspan and 8-foot-11 standing reach. He has broad shoulders, a sturdy base in his lower body, and continues to fill-out his wiry frame.

From a skill standpoint, White is still a work in progress. He is not yet a consistent shooting threat from the perimeter and can get inefficient when trying to prove otherwise or settling for low percentage face-up shots. What the lefty does have is an advanced right hand, an expanding ability to get downhill, and play through contact. There are even some occasional signs of a passing instinct.

While he’s probably at his best offensively in the open floor right now, he’s already a weapon on the defensive end of the floor. He’s physically capable of guarding multiple positions as well as being a playmaker from off the ball, and already takes pride in asserting himself on that end of the floor.
