Landen Lucas

Overview: A 2012-13 redshirt who is a bruising big man with a tremendous skill set... Has the ability to knock down shots and is also a solid passer... The top prospect out of the state of Oregon with great footwork and will provide depth in the frontcourt.

Sophomore Season (2014-15): Appeared in 32 of 36 games in 2014-15, starting in 14 of those outings… Recorded nine points on a perfect 3-of-3 shooting, racked up two steals and blocked a shot in his first career start against Rider (11/24)… Rejected two shots and pulled down six rebounds in a win over No. 24 Florida (12/5)… Dished out two assists in a loss to No. 11 Iowa State (1/17)… Rejected a career-best three shots, while tallying eight points and seven rebounds in a road win over TCU (1/28)… Recorded nine points and four rebounds in 14 minutes of action against No. 16 Baylor (2/14)… Tallied his first career double-double with career-highs in points (13), rebounds (12) and minutes (33) against No. 15 Oklahoma (3/7)… His six field goals (6-of-8) at OU were a career-best, while his two assists tied his best output and six of his boards were on the offensive glass, also a career-high… Followed that performance with an efficient 6-of-7 effort, racking up 13-points, seven rebounds and three blocks against TCU (3/12)… Started every postseason game at the five position and averaged 9.5 rebounds in the NCAA Tournament.

Redshirt Freshman Season (2013-14): Appeared in 22 games in 2013-14... Scored two points in two minutes against Stanford (3/23) in his first NCAA Tournament appearance... Stepped up in Tarik Black’s absence for a big game at TCU (1/25) with career-highs in points (7), minutes (13) and rebounds (t-5)... Pulled down five rebounds against New Mexico (12/14) in the Kansas City Shootout at the Sprint Center... Had five points on 2-of-3 shooting vs. Towson (11/22) in eight minutes... Scored first career points with three vs. Iona (11/19).

Redshirt Season (2012-13): A redshirt in his first year at Kansas… Averaged 3.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in two exhibition contests... Played 12 minutes against Emporia State (10/30), scored six points and pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.

Europe 2012: Averaged 3.8 points and 3.0 rebounds per game on KU’s Europe trip to Switzerland and Paris in August 2012… Played in all four contests… Shot 6-for-10 (60 percent) from the field and 3-for-4 (75 percent) from the line for the trip… Seven of his 12 rebounds in the four games were on the offensive end… Went 2-for-3 with five points and three rebounds in the first game against AMW France.

Westview High School: Averaged 21.0 points, 14.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per game as a senior at Westview High School... Recorded his best game as a senior when he scored 32 points, pulled down 22 rebounds and blocked 11 shots... Lucas began high school career at Sunset High School in Portland, moved to Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nev., as a junior and was back in Portland at Westview High School for his senior season... At Findlay Prep, Lucas averaged 6.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots per game... Coached by Pat Coons while at Westview... Rated a three-star recruit by Rivals.com...
