Jordan Tebbutt

May 2011: Point-forward with a high basketball IQ. Projects to the small forward position at the next level, but could grow into a shooting guard as he did an excellent job defending quicker guards on the perimeter at the Pangos All-American Camp. Tebbutt has a solid first step toward the basket and uses his body well to get off his shot. His jump shot is good, but could use some fine tuning through repetition as the arc on his shots tended to flatten out as the games wore on. Shows good bounce and was very active on the glass, often crashing the boards using "smart" angles that put him in solid rebounding position. Tebbutt is a very physical player who competes every second on the court. That competitiveness, however, can be used against him by a savvy opponent as he can be baited into taking bad shots at times. Defensively, Tebbutt squares his shoulders to the ball handler well and boxes out when the ball goes up. He's fundamentally sound on that end of the floor, but could benefit from a touch more lateral quickness when defending in space.
