Austin Swartz

Swartz is a skilled, volume shooter and scorer. He makes tough shots at multiple levels and has a knack for creating space to shoot off the dribble with both step-backs and pull-ups off his back foot. The key for him though is efficiency. Although he can make tough shots, he has a tendency to settle for contested ones. While he had a flat assist-to-turnover ratio in the EYBL regular season (1.7/game), he can show some flashes of being a talented passer when he's not hunting his individual offense. Physically, he has a naturally strong build with good perimeter size. He can get above the rim in the open floor, but often has to rely on being a crafty lay-up maker within the half-court. Defensively, he has size and strength that should be assets, but needs to have a more consistent approach.
