H.S. Athletic Background

A 2013 McDonald’s All-American, Harrison joined Kentucky with his twin brother, Andrew, as a five-star recruit from Richmond, Texas. After an up-and-down regular season as a freshman, Harrison earned a place in Kentucky lore and NCAA Tournament history with three consecutive game-winning threes in the final minute of the Sweet 16 win vs. Louisville, the Elite Eight win vs. Michigan and the Final Four win vs. Wisconsin. The game-winners came less than a month after Harrison now famously predicted Kentucky players would still write a great story in the minutes following a stunning loss at SEC cellar-dweller South Carolina. Harrison was named to the Midwest Region NCAA All-Tournament team and SEC All-Tournament team as a freshman and named the preseason SEC Player of the Year as a sophomore. He led Kentucky's 38-1 Final Four team in scoring as a sophomore before declaring for the NBA draft.
