Zion Pipkin

Pipkin is a tough-minded lead guard blessed with wide shoulders and extremely long arms. He may be one of the more naturally gifted prospects when zeroing in on his defensive intangibles. He is an elite disruptor as he naturally deflects and contested passes alike once his arms are up and out. Pipkin also has a strong build to guard with physicality and take contact initiated through penetration to the chest. Offensively, Pipkin does more damage with pace and feel than blow by speed. He is composed and is great at negotiating ball screens to make the right basketball play. One of the best at threading the needle in the half-court, Pipkin can find cutters and make kickout passes with great timing and accuracy. He also is a threat as a three-level scorer. He has a high release point from above his head and he can get his shot off virtually whenever he wants. With his length, budding skill, and instincts as a decision maker, Pipkin's game oozes with two-way upside.
