Zach Carpenter

Wide-bodied, thickly-built interior prospect. Average length. Strength, toughness, and experience playing high-level competition are all pluses. Powerful and knocks defenders off balance with initial contact. Given his size, he gets around the field and into the second level well. Dominant in the run game. Plays with mean streak and finishes his blocks. Same strength and punch help him in pass pro, but he can still work on footwork there. Not the prettiest prospect, not the best tester, but a kid who controlled the guy across from him consistently on film. Has experience at several positions on the line, but guard is the most likely projection. Will be a tough guy to keep off the field because of strength and approach to the game and we would expect him to be a multi-year college starter.
