Projection

Power 4 Starter

First and foremost, Perry is a proven winner. His summer teams have always been competitive and anybody who follows the SoCal high school team is well aware of his list of accomplishments over the past few years. This isn't just a case of playing regular high school kids either, the Mission League is one of the toughest high school leagues in America and is littered with Division One, much of it high major, talent. His dominance of such a strong league is notable.

Perry has now grown to about 6-foot-4 and while he's still lean, he's got good shoulder and is slowly but surely starting to fill out his frame. He's at least wiry strong at this point and the added strength is a real boost. While Perry isn't slow by any means, he's not exactly a burner either. He relies on a very high school level, changes of pace and overall feel for the game to create space for himself as a handler and scorer and he's a smart passer. The added strength has allowed him to play through contact better than ever.

Where Perry really shines is as a jump shooter. As a senior, Synergy tracked 20 of his games and of the 256 shots he took, half of them were jump shots. He made an impressive 41.7% of his threes and is particularly impressive when it comes to making guarded jump shots. Per Synergy, Perry ranked among the 94 percent nationally in that category scoring an incredible 1.47 points per shot (with a true shooting percentage of 74.2%) on guarded jumpers.

As a playmaker for others, Perry is one to make the simple pass and he doesn't overthink things. Where some talented passers like to look for the home run plays, he's happy to take what the defense offers him and had a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio as a senior. In general, though, he is more of a scoring point with the ability to play off the ball as needed than he is a true table setter.
