Reminds Us Of

Tee Higgins Cincinnati Bengals

A big-play wide receiver with exceptional hands that can stretch the field. Put up big numbers down Sunshine State, hauling in 92 passes for 2,284 yards (24.8 yards per catch) and 30 touchdowns his last two years of high school, but really cemented himself as one of the cycle’s top offensive weapons during an impressive week of practices for the All-American Bowl. Surges off the line of scrimmage with his initial burst before shaking his marks with his sharp cuts and decisive turns. Tends to give defensive backs plenty of issues with his nifty double moves. Tracks the football like a seasoned vet, and will gear down or gear up to secure the prize. Gets large at the catch point and has the bounce to play above opponent's shoulder pads. Size at one point was a bit of a question mark, but looked the part at check-in for the AAB, measuring in at a shade over 6-foot-3, 195 pounds. On the younger side for his grade, which suggests that he’s got a higher ceiling as he’s still evolving as a player and has plenty of time to keep working on all of the little things, like perimeter blocking. Should be viewed as a potential WR1 at the Power Five level given body control, run-after-catch capability and elite hand-eye coordination. Likely to thrive in an offense that wants to attack the deeper third and feed its weapons. Day 1 of the NFL Draft upside.
