Scottre Humphrey

Humphrey is a power back at first glance, but he has more juice and burst than you'd expect given his frame and style of running. Humphrey is an old-school back- no gloves, just some tape on the wrists, and runs like he's angry and seeks out contact and seems to relish it. He has no problems running up the gut but he can bounce the ball outside and has breakaway speed that gets him in to the open field and on his way to the end zone. He doesn't get tackled much from behind. Humphrey has good body control and balance, he can take the initial hit, keep his feet and continue to churn out yards and his ability to carve out more yards after contact is pretty evident early in the game. He's a plus pass-blocker but then can also get out and catch the ball out of the backfield and shows the vision to get to the sticks. Montana State and Idaho are battling for Humphrey, who should have some Mountain West offers under his belt.
