Scouting Report
Evaluated 04/28/2024
Lapuaho is a massive offensive lineman that we think can play tackle or guard at the college level. He plays tackle at the high school level and that’s where a lot of colleges like him as well. He does have good feet, balance and length and we could see him staying as a right tackle in college. He’s a wide body and a road grader and at 6-5 and pushing 330 pounds, he has a guard frame and that could be his ultimate meal ticket as well. Regardless of where he lines up, he has all the tools to be an impact player at the college level because of his size, strength and advanced technique. West played a tough schedule last year and Lapuaho competed well against some of the top teams including Southern California heavyweight Santa Margarita and national power St. Francis Academy. Right now, Lapuaho is probably more advanced as a run blocker and we like how he finishes. He’s quick off the snap and can bury an opposing edge at the line of scrimmage. He’s comfortable as a pass blocker as well, uses his hands and can slide and mirror. We’d love to see him lean a bit and improve his overall athleticism but he’s an easy Power 4 prospect and projects as a multi-year starter at the next level.
