Projection

2-3 Round Day 2

Reminds Us Of

Robert Tonyan Green Bay Packers

Athletic frame with some growth potential. Measured 6-foot-4 winter after sophomore season. A fluid route runner with seam-busting speed that started prep career off as a wide receiver. Fires out of his stance getting north in a hurry. Makes dynamic speed cuts in his routes. Will shake defenders with simple jabs and head fakes. Shows good body control adjusting naturally to the flight of the football. Reliable hands. Owns some of the best catch-and-run skills out of any tight end in the class of 2022 as he’s elusive in the open field for someone of his stature. Doesn’t have much experience working as an inline blocker, but plays through the whistle. Will need to keep adding functional strength, especially if he’s going to be asked to open up holes in the run game at the next level. Saw a high-volume of targets as a junior playing in one of the Peach State’s highest classifications. Ability to get open and serve as more than just a check down for a quarterback suggests that he can emerge as a TE1 for a Power 5 program. Has the potential to develop into an NFL Draft pick if everything comes together. Should thrive in an offensive system that moves its tight ends around before the snap.

H.S. Athletic Background

Also a good lacrosse player.

2020: MaxPreps All-Georgia second-team selection on offense. Worked at TE, but spent a lot of time in the slot. Also saw limited defensive snaps as a junior for West Forsyth team that made it to third round of AAAAAAA playoffs.
