Thornton plays inside as a guard but we can also see the potential for him to grow into a tackle as he gets bigger and stronger. He already boasts tackle feet and has some decent length to him but he will need to put on some more weight and fill out a bit more to really be effective inside as a guard, though his frame is optimal for a tackle. Thornton shows good initial quickness at the line of scrimmage, good bend and lateral movement and will certainly be one to watch over the next couple of years.
