2014 (Jr.): Played in all 12 games, starting the final seven contests of the season at quarterback… Named KU’s Offensive Player of the Week in games versus Oklahoma State and Iowa State... Shared Kansas’ John Hadl Award with wide receiver Nick Harwell as the team’s Offensive Player of the Year... Notched the most passing yards in a game by a Jayhawk since 2009 with 332 against TCU… Recorded a span of five-straight games throwing for more than 235 yards, the longest streak by a KU quarterback since 2009... Ended the season with 137 completions on 244 attempts for 1,715 yards and nine touchdowns… Also ran a total of 67 times for 23 yards, adding four scores… Kept the ball twice and gained 10 yards against SEMO... Completed his first pass of the season for six yards at Duke... Carried the ball once for two yards against Central Michigan... Carried the ball once and gained one yard against Texas... Completed a eight passes on 17 tosses while throwing for 65 yards at West Virginia... Set a new career high with 24 completions on a career-high 40 attempts while throwing for 278 yards and a touchdown and running for 12 more yards and a touchdown on seven attempts against Iowa State... 2013 (So.): Played in three games… Completed 3-of-4 passes on the year for 44 yards and a touchdown… His TD pass was a 28-yard completion to WR Andrew Turzilli vs. Texas Tech… Saw his first action of the season at Rice, coming in for one play—a 13-yard completion… Completed 2-of-3 passes for 31 yards and one TD vs. Texas Tech… Saw his first career action at halfback at Iowa State... Carried the ball four times for 14 yards vs. ISU.

2012 (RFr.): Played in the last eight games of the season, starting against Oklahoma, Texas, Baylor, Texas Tech and Iowa State... Connected on 43-of-94 passes for 456 yards and three touchdowns... Also rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on 49 carries... Came off the bench against Oklahoma State and led two fourth-quarter scoring drives, completing 5-of-10 passes against the Cowboys for 75 yards and a touchdown... Set season highs with 10 completions and 111 yards, which included a 51-yard pass to James Sims, at Oklahoma... Rushed for a career-long run of 22 yards for a touchdown at Baylor... Tossed two touchdown passes at Texas Tech... Also carried eight times for 41 yards against the Red Raiders, including a 44-yard scamper... Rushed for a season-high 42 yards at West Virginia.

2011 (Fr.): Redshirted his first year at KU.

High School: Missed five games as a senior due to a torn ACL, but still threw for 1,167 yards and 10 touchdowns... In his three-year career he threw for 5,237 yards and 45 touchdowns, while running for 2,321 yards and 33 scores... Earned second-team all-district honors as a senior... District 25-4A Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore and the Offensive MVP as a junior... In his seven-game senior season, was 62-of-128 passing for 1,167 yards and 10 touchdowns with five interceptions... As a junior in 2009, completed 129-of-237 passes for 2,463 yards and 24 touchdowns with just seven interceptions... Also rushed 148 times for 751 yards and 17 touchdowns... As a sophomore, completed 113-of-205 attempts for 1,680 yards and 11 touchdowns with six interceptions... Rushed 193 times for 1,042 yards and 18 scores... Also lettered in basketball and track... Reached the state championship in the discus as a sophomore.

Personal: Born in Fort Hood, Texas... Son of Dexter and Patricia Cummings... Has two brothers... One brother played football at Prairie View A&M... Earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology in July 2014... Currently working on a second bachelor’s degree in communications and an MBA.
