Projection

Power-5 Starter

Banuelos is one of the nastiest, edgiest players in the region. When he plays, he lets you know he's going to be lined up across from you all game. He plays with such a chip on his shoulder. Off the field, Banuelos is all personality, a gregarious kid, but on it, a switch goes off and he just is a bully. Watching him, you see him play through the whistle each time, consistently driving his defender back when the Lancers run the ball and also essentially toying with them when he's in pass protection, not wasting any steps, anchoring and not giving up any ground to his defender. He uses his hands extremely well and is an excellent high school tackle. While the plan is for him to slide inside in college, he has the athleticism to play right tackle at the next level and the length to do so. His initial punch packs power and this is a guy who loves playing football in the trenches.
