Greg Biggins
Greg Biggins National Recruiting Analyst

Jones is one of the more versatile players out West with the ability to play multiple positions at the next level. He plays primarily inside ‘backer in high school to take advantage of his athleticism, range and ability to make plays sideline to sideline. He has been very productive the last two years and was a tackling machine as a junior, earning Cal-Hi Sports Defensive Player of the Year. He’s all of 6-5, 240 pounds with a ton of length to him. He’s a big hitter with instincts, toughness and shows the ability to move around and is very good in blitz situations. At the college level and beyond, we really like him as an edge rusher and can easily see him growing in to a dominant pass rusher with the ability to fit in to any defensive scheme. He has the frame to easily add another 25-30 pounds with ease without losing any of his natural athleticism. We saw him at the Under Armour Next Camp in March working out with the edge rushers and once he develops a few more counters to go along with the standard speed and bull rush, he has a chance to be very special. Jones also has the multi-sport background we really like and is a legit MLB prospect in baseball and has participated in the prestigious Area Code Baseball Games, one of the top showcases in the country.
