Haugo was only able to play in two games as a junior due to a back injury but has had a strong off-season and looks primed for a big senior year. He’s a standout in basketball as well but his future is on the grid-iron. We had a chance to see him at the recent Elite 11 Regional Camp in Las Vegas and he was one of our Top Performers at the event. At 6-4, 210 pounds, Haugo has an NFL frame right now and is a good athlete for the position. He clocked a 4.85-40, 4.54 shuttle and jumped nearly 31” in the vertical at the Elite 11 Regional Camp in Las Vegas. He has a smooth, easy delivery and the ball jumps out of his hand. He can get the ball down the field without much of a windup and shows very good pocket mobility as well. He can escape pressure, buy time and looks comfortable throwing rolling out to his right or left. He’s able to change speeds, throws with touch and has a nice overall feel for the position. Mechanically, he’s very strong and look on-balance throwing on time and in rhythm. He can climb the pocket and does a nice job feeling pressure and moving away with his eyes down the field. He’s not afraid to tuck it run when he has to and runs extremely well for a quarterback his size. His game will take a big jump once he can focus solely on playing quarterback and he’s definitely one of the more intriguing signal callers to watch out West.
