Lotzeir Brooks

A speedy slot receiver with an unverified 5-foot-9, 170 pound listing who owns South Jersey records for career receiving yards (3,355) and career touchdown receptions (51) before playing a down of his senior season. Combination of speed, short area quickness, and run-after-catch instincts make him extremely dangerous in the screen game and on other first-level throws. Quickly erases ground against off-coverage and can stretch the field vertically out of the slot. Evidence of high football IQ is on display plenty with his efforts to create space during scramble drill scenarios. Must improve play strength and overall plan of attack for defeating press coverage and physical defensive back play. Does a decent job playing through contact at the catch point, but the same level of physicality isn't there earlier in the route. Will also need to keep evolving as a route runner if he wants to play more than just a complementary role. Likely to add plenty of special teams value as he can create moments of magic with the ball in his hands.
