H.S. Scouting Report

Evaluated 06/28/2022

Gabe Brooks 247Sports Scouting Analyst

Tall, long, and very lean with narrow build but room to add needed mass. Excellent height and length relative to corner projection.

Owns terrific athletic profile with three-sport foundation, including basketball and track and field. Ran strong 200- and 400-meter times as a junior, which marked second consecutive Texas 5A state-qualifying high jump performance.

Displays promising reactive quickness and twitch relative to taller, longer-levered build. Plays aware and shows turn-and-locate instincts on deeper throws. Above-average ball skills likely fostered by background as a receiver. Flashes linear field speed reflective of track profile and long-striding gait that builds to good top-end gear.

Must add mass. Willing tackler but needs some bulk to maximize that area of his game. Also needs added strength and mass to combat bigger, stronger pass catchers at next level. Higher natural center of gravity sometimes compromises hip sink and leverage, in coverage and as a tackler.

Very intriguing cornerback with good physical tools and an excellent athletic profile that suggests a high developmental ceiling. Projects as a Power Five prospect with the skill set and physical specs that suggest a long-term ceiling beyond the college game is a real possibility.
