Power 4 Starter

Reminds Us Of

Jaquez Moore Duke Blue Devils

Uber-productive running back that amassed over 3,500 rushing yards and close to 50 touchdowns during prep career. Split touches as a junior and senior with a fellow Power Five prospect in an old-school, throwback offense that operated primarily out of a three-man T Formation. Could best be described as a shifty runner with plus-vision that has home-run capability if he can find a crease. Doesn’t have the biggest of frames as he’s believed to be tipping the scales at roughly 5-11, 185 pounds. However, finds ways to slip out of arm tackles and isn’t afraid to bang between the tackles, at least on Friday nights. Ability to catch the ball out of the backfield or chip larger edge players is a bit of a question mark at this stage in his development, but that’s almost expected given the lack of a true passing game at his high school. Will likely need some time to get adjusted to the physicality and speed of FBS football, but owns a rather promising track profile (regional qualifier in two hurdling events as a sophomore) and is no stranger to the weight room. Should be viewed as a potential multi-year contributor at the FBS level and someone that could be part of the rotation sooner rather than later given run style.

H.S. Athletic Background

Also runs track. Regional qualifier in both the 110 and 300 hurdles as a sophomore. Has posted times of 11.39 and 11.57 (-1.0) in the 100-meter dash.
-----
2022: As a senior, averaged 12.4 yards per carry. In 12 games, racked up 1731 yards and 22 TD on 140 carries. Helped Naples go 9-3, win a district title and make the regional semifinals of Florida’s new 3S playoffs … Played in the same backfield as Arkansas RB commit Isaiah Augustave, who totaled 1,061 yards and 11 TD of his own as the Golden Eagles operated primarily out of a T Formation.
