Big-play back with high-volume high school duties who plays above his weight as a run finisher. Explosive out of cuts and excels as a one-cut-and-go slasher with agility in the hole to make a man miss and hit the second level unencumbered. Slippery strong with a low center of gravity that fosters positive pad level. Limited physical upside due to smaller stature, but well-built, broad-shouldered, thicker than size on paper suggests. Not stylistically an open-field move-stringer, but capable of stacking cuts and gaining yards after contact, which periodically results in springing to green grass for home runs. Displays encouraging stop-start suddenness and bursts out of jump cuts. Not bounce-happy, but particularly dangerous when bouncing because of sudden lateral burst to gain angle leverage. Hits the hole hard and is unafraid when sticking his nose in the pile at the goal line or to get first-down yardage. Advanced vision for this stage of developmental and knows how to stay patient for blockers. Capable pass catcher who has aligned as a wideout and slot receiver. Got heavy spring ball pass-catching reps prior to junior campaign. Experience in myriad formations and personnel scenarios for a perennial Texas 4A contender. Excellent sophomore production (1,700+ yards, 10.09 ypc). Had some sophomore ball-security issues that will need remedy, but possesses excellent functional athleticism supported by a 10.99 100 in only Spring 2024 rep. Combines every-down skill with change-of-pace size and juice. Projects as a potential high-major impact back who could ultimately work his way beyond the college game.
