Smart player who diagnoses what is in front of him well and gets to the right spots. Shows awareness in zone coverage as well and will get into passing lanes. High school tight end with good ball skills for a linebacker. Continued work with lateral agility and straight line explosiveness will help him in man. Can play inside or outside, but straight-forward run stopping abilities suggest inside will be his best spot in college. Body type and smarts will give him a chance to play early. Even if he does not see the field immediately, he projects as a starting quality player in the major Power 5 level.
