Jordan Poole

Slightly shorter than average linebacker with a good frame. Already holds more than adequate weight for the position. Has thick legs and carries most of his weight in the lower body. Is one of the better athletes at linebacker in the 2021 cycle as indicated by his outstanding results in track and combine settings prior to his junior season. Is a two-way star for his high school, doubling as a prolific running back and defensive back. Plays running back in a wing-T offense and flashes his athleticism and speed with the ability to run through tackles and pull away from defenses on a regular basis. Shows physicality and striking power on defense in addition to instincts and ball skills in coverage. Does not shy away from contact. Physical skill set projects well to linebacker despite not having played the position much to date. Will need to adjust to linebacker and continue developing technique and feel on defense. Projects as a starter at the Power Five level with the upside to become a NFL Draft pick.
