4-7 Round Day 3

A big-framed defensive lineman that has flashed some elite get off. Reportedly measured in at just under 6-foot-5, 300 pounds the winter of 2022. More impressively, had an 84-inch wing span to go along with 10.75-inch hands. By far one of the most promising prospects to ever come out of Jacksonville Westside. Looks like a man amongst boys next to his teammates when down in a three or four-point stance. Shoots his way into the backfield with a quick first step. Does a nice job of shifting his weight as he works east-west and has shown that he can squeeze his way through gaps to make a stop. Wins more times than not on Friday nights by simply overwhelming opposing blockers with his sheer mass and power. However, has also shown that he can get after the quarterback by untitling a well-timed spin move. Can displace obstacles with a stiff long arm, as well. Hasn’t exactly faced elite competition to date, but did total a season-high six tackles as a junior against Valdosta, which is one of the more respected programs in Georgia. Limited testing data makes it hard to really paint the full picture, but length, burst and ability to get low at that size is rare. Likely going to need a few years of coaching before he’s ready to go on Saturdays and must keep evolving as a player, but should be viewed as an interior lineman with pass rushing upside that can provide a spark at the Power 5 level. Somewhat scheme versatile and could potentially be molded into a 4i, a 3, a 2i or even a 0-technique depending on what’s needed.

Athletic Background

“Big Baby" is his nickname.

Two-sport athlete that also does track and field (primarily throwing events). As a junior threw a personal best, 39’-11.25 in the shot put. Also ran a 5.63 in the 40-yard dash at a track meet.

2021: Jacksonville Times Union All-First Coast selection. Member of the All-News4JAX football team. In 9 games, totaled 34 tackles and 5 sacks. Also got some snaps on offense for Westside, which went 2-8 in Florida’s 6A classification.
