John Hugley

John Hugley is a traditional center who is a big body that has soft hands and knows how to play inside the paint. Hugley uses his wide frame and good strength to carve out space on the offensive end, and uses angles well to score. He has slimmed down as his high school career has gone on, and that has allowed him to become a bit more mobile, but he is likely to always struggle in ball screen situations on the defensive end. Look for him to be someone who makes a big impact rebounding his area, and also being a physical post defender who is a reliable low block scorer. His skill level is getting better in the mid-range and beyond, but the strength of his game is close to the rim, where his natural size can make him a problem for defenses to deal with.
