Jerome Williams

Came late to football, starting his career as a freshman and was a defensive lineman initially. Made significant progress between sophomore and junior season as an offensive lineman. High school right tackle who figures to slide inside in college. Has a basketball background and the athleticism shows. Gets off the ball quickly, moves laterally well and shows balance and coordination in space. Has good hips and can turn his body and get to where he needs to make blocks. Plays with good natural bend and leverage. Can still get stronger but demonstrates willingness to finish and play a physical brand of football. Still more of a work in progress in pass protection as far as technique, but has the physical pre-requisites to keep getting better there. Already fairly developed in the run game. Considering his relative inexperience, he is not as raw as one may expect. Trajectory is upward, he seems to be a quick learner, and he offers the possibility to play guard or center, but may still be able to provide tackle depth in a pinch. Should develop into a quality Power Five starter and has Sunday potential.
