Projection
Second RoundCompact linebacker prospect with decent length. Quick processor that plays fast. Good short area quickness. Elusive in tight spaces. Makes quick work of RBs in pass protection. Good closing speed as a tackler. Plays with natural bend and coil. Shows great understanding of where to fit in the run game. Competent tackler in space despite limited length. Suddenness and bend show up as a blitzer and edge rusher. Shows good hips and change of direction in coverage. Does not have ideal size. Has the potential to get swallowed up by bigger offensive linemen and will struggle defending bigger pass catchers downfield but instincts and physicality are significant compensators. He’s a no-risk prospect and one of the most instinctive LBs in the class. We see him as an impact starter at a top tier program with early round NFL Draft upside.
