Angular, long-limbed build. Possesses good height and length at safety. A bit thin through his upper body but has room to fill out considerably. Plays with an aggressive, ball-hawking mentality. Had a number of interceptions as a senior, jumping routes and returning several for touchdowns. Shows quick recognition and instincts in reading the quarterback’s eyes. Triggers quickly as run defender, taking good angles and finishing with physicality on contact. Shows good play speed and personality. Doesn’t test as a great athlete. Not out of the question he grows into a box defender at the next level. Projects as a contributor and likely starter at the Power 5 level with the upside of developing into a NFL Draft pick.
