Reminds Us Of

Pat Freiermuth Pittsburgh Steelers

Very good height with a frame to match. Advanced pass catcher. Height and catch radius combine with impressive suddenness as a downfield route runner. Consistently shows snap and nuance on corners, posts, etc. Functional athleticism shines in run-after-catch ability and red-zone opportunities. Proven ball-winner who will go get in it traffic. Excelled in that category as a senior. Displays terrific body control and adjustment ability in the air, especially relative to his long-limbed build. Versatile from a personnel standpoint with experience lined up wide and attached in a three-point stance. Capable and willing blocker. Outstanding football pedigree. Play speed is good but athleticism lacks verified context of combine testing or track and field variety. Strong production, but did somewhat trend down in regards to yards per catch rate and touchdown grabs from sophomore to senior seasons. Can improve release consistency, as well as pad level/leverage as a blocker. Blocking ceiling should rise with added strength and initial power. Without a doubt one of the nation's top 2022 tight end prospects. Will allow offensive staffs usage across personnel groupings. Projects to the high-major level as a potential impact player in college with a ceiling in higher rounds of the NFL Draft.
