Slender body type for a tight end, weighing just over 200 pounds prior to his junior season. Has a bigger presence than weight would suggest. At a shade under 6-foot-5, plays long with a good catch radius. Possesses advanced balls skills. Catches the football with his hands away from his body. Plucky catcher. Outstanding body control and ball tracking skills downfield. Body control serves him well as a route-runner where you see very little robotic movements. Has natural feel for subtle body lean and head fakes to set up defenders. Changes speeds as a route-runner and understands how to settle in zone coverage. Productive. Willing to block but does not pack a punch as an in-line blocker. Will be restricted to a move tight end in a hybrid role early in his career. Appears to have the frame for physical growth though he may never be a traditional Y. Power five impact starter with mid to early round NFL Draft potential.
