Projection

4-7 Round Day 3

Reminds Us Of

Jeremy Hill New England Patriots

Good size and frame for a high-volume candidate at the running back position. At 6-foot, can probably get to the 220- to 225-pound range in college and provide some big-back punch. Impressive production at a high level of high school competition (Texas Class 6A in Houston area). Limited receiving production, but experience lining up in the slot as a true receiver. Shows encouraging pass-catching ability in those limited opportunities. Capable cutback runner and jump-cutter who can level his way across the field. Not a make-you-miss runner, but subtle enough in lateral mobility to slip defenders in space. At his best when accelerating downhill. Good top-end speed verified at 4.58 in the 40. Encouraging patience in allowing blocks to materialize. Shows some wasted motion in his gait. On-field play speed does not always match testing speed. Hips appear a bit tight. Sometimes bounces runs too often instead of getting big frame square to the line of scrimmage. Needs to improve pad level. Runs high and could maximize finishing power by lowering center of gravity. Can do a better job of running to his size. Possesses the size and natural athleticism to become an NFL Draft candidate.
