Lean frame that he will have to fill in to play linebacker in college. Has experience at safety, coming down into the box and even way out wide in coverage at times. Very good smarts, instincts and nose for the football. Also changes directions well and can transition out of his backpedal and come forward better than most players at his size. Very sure tackler who wraps up. Will have to get stronger in order to take on blocks and strike a little more violently at the next level. Will be a true asset as an outside backer because he will be able to cover backs, tight ends and slots and assuming the bulk comes, will also be able to be an in the box run defender. Projects as a multi-year starter at the Power 5 level.
