Reminds Us Of

DeVonta Smith Philadelphia Eagles

Adequate-sized receiver with lean, hyper-athletic build. One of the most dynamic athletes in his cycle with layered athletic context thanks to one of the 2022 class' best track and field profiles.

Pairs those qualities with elite natural receiver skills. Tracks well downfield and displays terrific adjustment abilities and body control when required. Field speed reflects track speed (10.58 100) and yields dangerous vertical field-stretching threat. Equally dangerous in run-after-catch situations thanks to explosive athleticism.

Combines great 100-meter speed with a sizzling 21.08 200. Texas 5A state medalist in four different events as a junior (long jump, triple jump, 4x200 relay, 4x400 relay). Capable of lining up outside or in the slot. Also a possible return game option.

Twitchy off the line and gets on top of corners quickly. Not only a linear burner, but flashes impressive lateral suddenness with make-you-miss open-field athleticism. Because of that, should own a high ceiling as a route runner, especially since leveraging DBs into breaks is not an issue. Willing to go get it in traffic with springy elevating burst.

Will need to continue working on his frame to add strength. Production was good throughout high school career, but senior year reps were limited by decision to opt out after playing three games. One of the nation's top wideout prospects in the 2022 class. Projects as a difference-making high-major receiver with an early-round NFL Draft ceiling.
