Sitanilei played the last three years at Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco but made the move to Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) in the off-season. He’s a player we started hearing about when he was still in 8th grade and already picking up scholarship offers. Even at a young age, he had the kind of length and natural athleticism that catches your eye. He had to bide his time early on due to a strong depth chart and then battled some injuries as a junior when it looked like it was his turn to shine. He still finished with 25 tackles and three sacks but at the Under Armour Next Camp in March, Sitanilei flashed all the tools that everyone has been waiting to see. At 6-5, 215 pounds with an 80” wing span, Sitanilei tested extremely well across the board including a 7.20-L Drill that is the currently the 3rd best time among defensive lineman from the entire UA Camp tour thus far. He then went out and dominated the one on one drills, taking reps at edge and moving inside, showing the ability to win with multiple moves and counters. He’s quick off the snap, can get around the edge and will show a quick spin move as well. He’s a high Power 4 prospect and worth watching closely this season.
