Stoutly built inside linebacker prospect with adequate size relative to projected position. Somewhat limited from a frame potential perspective. Not overly big but possesses enough bulk and can probably add a bit more in college. Build fits projected role. Disruptive player who shows impressive close-quarters explosion. Flashes promising sideline-to-sideline pursuit ability. Impressive downhill defender. Fills gaps vs. the run and blitzes with vigor. Closes fast and strikes with a purpose. Provides the big hit when available. Needs to improve pad level and leverage consistency. Leans too much rather than bending. Better bend would maximize tackling power and consistency. Sometimes sacrifices technique for the sake of hunting the big hit. Plays with a high motor, but is too aggressive at times and can run himself out of plays. Will need to hone technique dropping into coverage, which he has not been asked to do too much to date. Box-banging thumper of an inside linebacker who could develop into a quality starter at the P5 level. Could become NFL Draft pick, especially considering relative dearth of true linebackers in today's game.
