Lacks ideal size of traditional linebacker, but adequate for today's spread-out game. Well-built, but limited frame space to add more bulk. Instinctive and athletic. Athletic linebacker prospect who could potentially play multiple roles at the college level depending on scheme fit and personnel packages. Size of a 4-3 OLB, but plays with ILB/MLB style. Tested well in a combine environment (4.74 40, 4.36 shuttle). Active defender whose motor runs high. Relentlessness and athleticism allow him to make plays all over the field. Shows the lateral range to cover a lot of territory against the run. Flashes close-quarters explosiveness to make an impact in the box. Plays low and drives through his target. Solid tackler with the short-range power to provide the big hit. Could be an intriguing option as a blitzer because of burst and closing speed. Statistical production improved as a senior. Size could haunt him at the next level. Can get washed out by larger blockers. Must add strength to compensate for lack of ideal size. Instincts and aggression sometimes lead to overpursuit. Must harness the high motor. Needs to acclimate to dropping into coverage, which was not asked of him too much in high school. Athleticism and instincts provide NFL Draft prospect ceiling.
