Darius Tisdale is the cousin of Syracuse running back Dontae Strickland. After playing high school football at South Brunswick High, he spent two years at Lackawanna Community College. He led Lackawanna to an 11-0 record and a Northeast Conference championship. Lackawanna finished 6th in the NJCAA poll.
