2-3 Round Day 2

A skilled pass rusher with plenty of juice. Over 6-foot-3 and should be able to eventually carry 265 pounds or more given his dimensions. Can win with his initial burst, but also knows how to chop, dip and rip his way around the corner. Extremely coordinated athlete that distributes his weight well and is able to find plenty of leverage as he gets up and underneath opposing linemen. Not one to give up on a play and will get outside the hashes to make a stop. Does a nice job of sifting through traffic and fighting off blocks as running backs pick and choose their lanes. Probably doesn’t get enough credit for his ability to anchor with his play strength and is known as a bit of a workout warrior after bench pressing 370 pounds his sophomore year of high school. More impressively, has over a 10-foot broad jump to his credit. Totaled a school-record 15 sacks and a team-high 23 tackles for loss as a junior, helping Venice capture a state title in Florida’s highest classification. Thrived working out of a three-point stance in a 4-3 front, but get-off and overall physical demeanor suggest that he wouldn’t have much issues standing up in a 3-4 look and getting after the quarterback. Should be viewed as one of the top EDGE prospects in the class of 2023 based upon everything that we know. Has what it takes to emerge as an impact player at a College Football Playoff regular. Destined to eventually earn a paycheck on Sundays if everything comes together and he can avoid injuries/setbacks.

Athletic Background

Also competes for school's weightlifting team ... Has benched 370 pounds competing in the 238-pound weight class.

2021: Herald-Tribune Defensive Player of The Year. Totaled a school-record 15 sacks and a team-high 23 tackles for loss as Venice captured a Florida 8A state title. Also credited with 25 quarterback hurries, three pass breakups, a fumble recovery and a pick six, which came in the championship game against Apopka.

2020: Worked on the edge for a Venice team that went 10-4 and made a deep run in Florida's 7A state playoffs.
