A outside cornerback prospect with tools. Size hasn’t been verified, but owns a lanky frame that’s believed to be just over 6-foot. Has experience working in both man and off-man coverage. Does an excellent job of maintaining phase with his fluid hips while gaining depth. Not afraid to bait quarterbacks into testing him and will jump routes. Picked off two passes as a junior while breaking up nine more. Can quickly close gaps with his track speed (owns multiple sub 11-second efforts in the 100-meter dash) and has the range to get across the field and hawk down ball carries. Will eventually need to add some mass if he wants to consistently make a difference near the line of scrimmage, but has shown on Friday nights that he’s not afraid to lower the shoulder and hit someone in space. Overall, should be viewed as a potential matchup specialist given how he moves and locates the football. Likely to thrive in an aggressive defensive scheme that puts its corners in a lot of 1-on-1 situations. Might also be able to add some value as a safety with his instincts.
