H.S. Scouting Report

Evaluated 02/20/2022

GabeBrooks
Gabe Brooks 247Sports Scouting Analyst

Legitimately 6-foot-4 with a lean frame and enormous hands. Could add significant mass in a college weight program. True pro-style pocket passer. Excels with touch throws, regardless of level. Capable of varying velocities, which aids in the proverbial "catchable" ball.

Can drop it in the bucket outside the numbers. Also does a good job leading receivers to open space on swing throws to the flats and short-to-intermediate routes over the middle. Pocket awareness allows for sensing pressure.

Production noticeably increased year-over-year through junior season. Not a run threat, but keeps eyes downfield and displays requisite functional athleticism to extend plays and make accurate throws off schedule when needed. Also played basketball during freshman and sophomore years.

Added mass and strength will raise throw power and zip. Intermediate-to-deep velocity needs more juice. Arm strength capacity should be very high given physical tools. Release quickness can improve, but still growing into big frame.

A tall, productive pocket quarterback who should fit well in a spread scheme that allows him to stand back and survey the field from his high perch. Projects to the Power Five level with the potential to become an impact player with physical traits that could provide a particularly high ceiling.
