Ansu Sanoe

Although rated as an athlete currently, Sanoe has primarily played running back and that’s where most schools have been recruiting him. He is slated to play full time at linebacker this coming season and we’ll be curious to see how he looks on the defensive side of the ball. As a running back, Sanoe is one of the premier power backs in the Northwest. He’s a rocked out 6-1, 210 pounds and makes his money running between the tackles. He’s more quick than fast, has a nice initial burst and routinely breaks 2-3 tackles and is tough to bring down once he gets rolling. He’s more of a straight line, north-south runner but will occasionally show some wiggle and the ability to make a defender miss in the hole. Has some contact balance to him and runs hard and is usually the one delivery the blow on contact. With two years of development before he hits college, we’d love to see him continue to improve his overall speed, twitch and fluidity. He runs tight at times and can definitely make a jump in his game adding more burst and overall explosiveness to his toughness and power. We’re not saying we want Sanoe to turn in to a jitterbug or dance around in the backfield but running with more looseness in his hips and adding some top end juice will take his game to another level.
