Projection

Power 4 Starter

Adequate height with lean, athletic build, though somewhat slight. Played small-school Louisiana ball through junior year before moving to Texas. Two-way prospect as all-purpose back/receiver or defensive back with potential to play multiple spots depending on scheme. Owns verified track speed that manifests on the gridiron. Multiple Louisiana 2A state championships in track. Personal best of 10.71 in the 100 and 21.39 in the 200. Straight-line burst obvious across multiple seasons of high school action. Flashed big-play ability as a runner. Covered ample back-end territory when playing safety, though largely stuck to offense and special teams as a senior. Ball skills will translate to defense if playing DB full-time in college. Athleticism and three-phase experience should allow for early chances on special teams, perhaps in multiple facets. Improvement in lateral fluidity needed, especially if moving to defense. Trusts his speed at times and gambles on angles as a runner and a defender. Will need to develop consistent man coverage ability if playing defense. Raw technically and must hone position-specific skill. Athletic speedster with tools to make an impact at the high-major level. Athleticism and versatility should raise long-term ceiling.
