Abel Hoopii

Hoopii is easily among the most physical offense lineman out West and has had a really strong off-season. We’ve had a chance to see him at multiple events, most recently the Under Armour Next Camp in Maui and he earned our Alpha Dog (Top Performer) following the event. He’s a versatile lineman who can has played tackle and guard but most likely slides inside and will play guard in college. He has a wide base, quick feet and is very strong. You can’t bull rush him because of his power in his lower body and he has the feet and balance to recover against counter moves and speed rushers. He plays with advanced technique as well, uses his hands and has the kind of mean streak and nastiness you love to see in a young lineman. He projects as a high Power 4 prospect and if he hits his potential, there's no doubt he can play on Sunday's.
